Today's work force is faced with issues caused by greatness. Productivity like never before, being connected to everyone and everything at all times, and the ability to be more, do more to the point of distraction. It's all wonderful, but all of that greatness can cause a few issues. Here are a few of the things we like teams to think about, there are more of course, and you can get those delivered to you in our newsletter.
Embrace CommonalitiesIn the new workplace everything happens through teams and collaboration. To make this effective it is imperative to provide shared experiences that bond the team as well as opportunities for mentoring and reverse mentoring. All generations want certain things in their workplace:
To be valued as well as succeed Lack of conflict or fear Clear communication Recognition (although what it looks like varies) Fun mixed with a sense of purpose The Canvas Creek Collaborative Painting Experience levels the playing field, it is low tech, disconnected, easy yet challenging, and completely neutral ground. As the end everyone has a new appreciation for one anothers' skills and openness to transferring knowledge, no matter what their age. |
